Dalgona coffee recipe: How to make the perfect whipped coffee

Dalgona coffee is whipped espresso. A very basic yet delicious recipe to quickly build the feel of being present in a restaurant, with the aroma and the texture.

Whipping the ingredients together and making a thick texture is the only basic step here. This whipped espresso is then dolloped onto your decision of cold or warm milk. Have it cold or hot.

The recipe became a trend in tik-tok and every other person was experimenting with it, just to taste it.

Dalgona is said to have originated in Korea.

Some state this espresso is much the same as Frappe or Indian cappuccino, served topsy-turvy. Whipped coffee is something that is becoming indifferent these days.

Equal portions of hot water, instant coffee powder, sugar, and required quantity of milk as per your liking.

Ice cubes (as per your preference)

Note: 1 Tbsp = 15 ml

How to make Dalgona coffee

  1. Mix instant coffee powder, sugar and boiling water in a glass. Blend them well. It takes time, so save your patience, or go with a frother or handheld blender. Might take 2-4 minutes or just whisk it multiple times until you see the lathering.
  2. Add the ice cubes in a mug at that point pour over the milk. Scoop out the Dalgona lather and slap it on top of the milk. Serve.
